   Gone Home: The Dorkly Review

Gone Home has been the subject of much debate over the past few months - many arguing that it isn't a game at all, that it's too short, etc. So we decided to sit down and play it - here are the three main criticisms we had about this game:

1. Not Enough Gun Variety!
2. Spent Like An Hour Searching For Mana Restoration Potions!
3. Not Enough Enemies!

Should you buy Gone Home? Personally, I would advise you to wait for a map pack DLC to be released - right now, there's only a single small map included, and there was no one else on the server. Very frustrating. A glitch in my game also removed all the guns and samurai swords apparently, so I was basically defenseless. Out of boredom, I just kinda wandered around and picked through whatever letters and cassettes I could find lying around while looking for mana restoration potions so I could cast lightning spells (had difficulty finding the magicka menu, still haven't located it actually).

Article Rapping Shop Owners, Item Rentals, and Destroying Evil: Our Review of the New Zelda Game

By Andrew Bridgman / November 15, 2013

Review: The Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds

What You Need To Know About The Legend of Zelda - A Link Between Worlds:

  • The map is a near identical recreation of the Hyrule from A Link to the Past, for better or worse. It's fun to come back to a familiar world with new twists added to it, but at the same time there's less sense of discovery.

  • You get to rent and purchase pretty much all the big items you would normally get through the course of a normal Zelda game (hookshot, bow & arrow, etc.) at the beginning of the game AND IT IS AMAZING.

  • Instead of having a magic meter and item collecting (set number of bombs, arrows, etc.), you have one single general meter for magic and items that automatically refills AND IT IS AMAZING.

  • A mother and father who seem very worried about the whereabouts of their young child don't seem to be too concerned when you tell them that their child is a magic sage who is now in a dimension separate from our own to help destroy an ancient evil, which is weird.

  • There's a rapping shop owner.

Article Console Review: The Playstation 4

By Andrew Bridgman / November 14, 2013

Well, it's finally here - the first true next gen console, the PlayStation 4:

I know what you're thinking - and yes, it is sleek as hell. Also, it isn't the PlayStation 4. The guy who sold me this on Craigslist was extremely misleading (both about this and the payment, which I was led to believe would just be $700, not $700 plus "a whole bunch of weird nude pics of me cradling a Sonic the Hedgehog plushie"), which left me in a bit of a predicament, since I had a deadline to get in this PlayStation 4 review (Sony would not send a review model because, according to their PR manager, I was persona non-grata there after I "sent them too many weird nude pics of me cradling a Sonic the Hedgehog plushie").
