23 years since it first blew minds and shook the anime genre to its core, Gainax's landmark series is making its way to Netflix. This news is bigger than it seems due to the fact that the show had previously  been absent from any streaming service, forcing many fans to reach for unreliable pirate streams or over-pay for used blu-rays and DVDs from ebay. 



For many, this will be a return to a nostalgic past, to a time when anime first became "cool", "deep", and many an argument over who was "best girl" were born. And while we may have survived the Third Impact IRL this news has still sparked a return-to-jesus for the Internet anime community:
