For those who are not in the know, allow me to explain the (admittedly, very self-explanatory) phenomenon of the "Simpsons Shitpost". This meme genre involves taking seemingly arbitrary jokes and moments from The Simpsons (usually from the so-called "golden" seasons between 3-11) and remixing them with very little attention to visual fidelity or sometimes even coherence. Fresh off the popularity of "Steamed Hams" comes ANOTHER infinitely exploitable moment from Season 8's "A Milhouse Divided", in which Bart hits Homer with a chair.

It's a brief physical gag, not necesarily profound, but because of the miracles of syndicated television, millions of people remember it from having watched it multiple times in after-school pre-homework reruns. Plus, the longevity of the series means that fans from across different generations knows the exact timing and rhythm of the sequence, making it RIPE for subversion and that oh so addictive "pop" of misplaced expectations.
