There comes a time when the fog of youth and inexperience is lifted and we can see things as they truly are. When the wisdom and experience of age makes us question the lessons we were given in the past. For many, that time comes when they re-watch the movies of their childhood, you know, those DVDs that were unceremoniously dumped in front of us by exhausted parents at home or on long road trips.
On the prolific r/askreddit page, one poster asked the userbase about seemingly innocent movies that are "actually fucked up" but in response people didn't give "subversive" flicks that distupt our status quo, instead, people began to dump their most upsetting and haunting moments from their younger days. Those psychologically damaging ideas or scenes that STICK with you for years.
Turns out if the movies aren't fucked up, they can still fuck US up.
