The new teaser trailer for Deadpool 2 just dropped out of nowhere, and while there's very little actual footage, no one is complaining about the copious amounts of Deadpoolian Bob Ross. We've watched it uh, a few times by now, and we noticed a few things -- some you might have picked up on, others you may have missed.

1. Ryan Reynolds was dropping Bob Ross hints LONG ago

undefined

The fact that Deadpool is dressing and acting like chillmaster Bob Ross is not anything other than super obvious. But looking back, Ryan Reynolds was strongly hinting at a Ross connection as early as January 2017. Reynolds' current pinned tweet (the one he wants everyone to see) is a Bob Ross joke he made 10 months ago.

Planting an inoccuous seed like that definitely seems like something Reynolds would do, and the fact that the tweet is pinned speaks to that intent. Just to be safe, we should probably go back and comb through Reynolds tweet history in case there's anything about Mister Rogers.

2. New and returning characters

undefined

You probably caught most of these, but they go by so quickly that I wanted to touch on them just so we've covered all our bases. Above you can see Negasonic Teenage Warhead, rocking a rad new hairdo and an extremely rude gesture.

Other familiar faces make a return, as folks like Weasel and Vanessa are seen alongside brief snippets of Dopinder and Blind Al.

We get a short look at Domino, a new mutant that's jumping into the mix for the sequel. Played by Zazie Beetz, the character's powers in the comics boil down to subtle acts of subconscious telekinesis that alter probabilities in her favor. In other words, she's real lucky so she kills good.

undefined

Then there's this mysterious kid, played by Julian Dennison. We don't know if he's supposed to be someone we know (or would never remember, like Negasonic), but he seems to be in a creepy purity-centric church(?) and relishing in its destruction. Dennison was hilarious in Hunt for the Wildepeople, so he should be a great fit for Deadpool.

Josh Brolin's Cable didn't show his mug in the teaser, but we did get a glimpse of his metal arm at the tail end.

Gotta save something for the inevitable Super Bowl trailer, I guess.

3. References and jokes in the "credits"

Things We Noticed in the New 'Deadpool 2' Trailer

The fake credits at the end of Deadpool Bob Ross' "show" roll by pretty fast, but you might have caught names like Geordie Laforge (from Star Trek: The Next Generation) or Thomas Edison (from real life history). A couple of the callouts cut a little deeper, like Camera 1 and Camera 2 both being operated by Wayne Campbell. Not only is Wayne Campbell the title character in Wayne's World, but "Camera 1 and Camera 2" are references to a specific scene when he's messing around in the bed with his girlfriend Cassandra.

Then there's the lead singer role, which goes to Jem's Jerrica Benton. It's misspelled Jerrika here, which is truly outrageous.

undefined

For all his bouncing needs, Deadpool called in one man with one name: Dalton. As in, Patrick Swayze's character from the classic Road House.

undefined

undefined

Anime fans may remember Chim Chim as that little asshole monkey who always hid in the trunk of the Mach 5 in Speed Racer.

undefined

undefined

But the most important credit goes to Blanche Devereaux, a vital member of the Golden Girls.

undefined

undefined

Deadpool also mentions fellow Goldie Betty White, in addition to wearing a Bea Arthur shirt for a good deal of the first movie. With those three together, all that's left is a tribute to Estelle Getty. We'll be waiting.

4. Someone's about to eat wildberry Toaster Strudel

undefined

That's it, really. Toaster Strudel just sounds really good right now. Give me a break, I skipped breakfast to write this.

5. Even the trailer has a Stan Lee cameo

undefined

We last saw Stan Lee in the Deadpooliverse making announcements at a strip club, but the sequel couldn't even wait until it was released in theaters. Towards the end of the teaser, we see a Norman Rockwell-like painting of the Deadpool 2 cast. Sure enough, a picture of The Man himself can be seen hanging in the top right.

undefined

As Stan Lee likes to say: 'Nuff said!
