A lot has happened since we last did a post about Prequel Memes, the phenomenon (and associated popular subreddit) where the Star Wars prequels are endlessly celebrated through bizarre shitposts and memes about the prequels. Although, to be accurate, it's more about INCREDIBLY specific moments from the prequels than the films as a whole - from Palpatine's lines "DO IT!" and "I AM the Senate!" to Anakin's "This is where the fun begins" and his hatred of sand to "The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis" and (of course) the immortal line from fan-favorite memorable character Dexter Jettster, "WADDAYAKNOW?".

It's half-nostalgia for the prequels (yes, the prequels are old enough to have nostalgia for) and half-knowing irony about the weird specificity of the memes. But the end result is pretty incredible - and has begun spawning SUB-subreddits, all of which are essentially takeoffs of Prequel Memes BUT EVEN MORE SPECIFIC - Banking Clan Memes (about the banking clan characters from the Prequels and assorted Star Wars media) and Anthology Memes (which will supposedly be memes dedicated to the Star Wars Anthology films....which means they ONLY have Rogue One to work with for the next year).

Hell, the meme-focused community has gotten so active and big, they've literally had to start begging people to not bring memes up in person to Hayden Christensen at the recent Star Wars Celebration:
