Paramount Pictures is gearing up to release its adaptation of the anime Ghost In The Shell next week (March 24), and they tried to get a cut of some of that sweet viral action. The film has recieved heavy criticism since it was first announced that Johansson was cast in the lead role over an Asian actress, considering that GITS is a story deeply rooted in Japanese cultural sensibilities. Naturally, the rest of the internet followed and began grilling the film - and Hollywood as a whole - over a lack of Asian representation. Be careful what you wish for, Paramount.
