When Overwatch got another Free Weekend a few days ago, veterans salivated at the thought. All that fresh meat, getting on board after months of their friends regaling them with the greatness of that Pixar shooter. Longtime players, jaded by the squabbling of Competitive Mode, saw the Free Weekend as a chance to grind up fresh meat and feel like they're actually good at the game again.

New players, on the other hand, understandably took some time to adjust to the game. One brave soul named dialglex was brave enough to admit how much they didn't know and posed a question on Reddit.

So, what happened? Well, in case you're not familiar with the game, asking how to go into Widowmaker's sniper mode is like asking how to look up. There are only so many buttons to push on a controller, and on default mouse/keyboard control schemes, you zoom in with right-click -- as in, the second thing pretty much anyone presses when they try to do something on a computer.

To be fair, a few kind Reddit users did answer the question up front. But the answer to the question was so bizarrely obvious that everyone else couldn't help but have some fun at poor dialglex's expense. Below are some of the best (stupid) answers they gave to a very simple query.

So how could someone miss something right in front of their face? Let dialglex explain:

That's... pretty reasonable, all things considered. I guess some people were mean on the internet for no reason. Go figure.
