While often overshadowed by Adventure Time and Steven Universe, Cartoon Network's The Amazing World of Gumball stilll delivers on some amazing moments that shatter the boundaries between animation styles (I mean, that's kind of the point of the series, right?). Last Friday's episode "The Fury" is one of the most spot-on anime parodies ever, featuring a hot-blooded martial arts battle between Gumball's Mom and her former friend,

While this entire fight scene feels like something ripped from Kill la Kill or Naruto: 

It turns out that the producers actually hired Studio 4°C the Japanese animation studio responsible for projects as varied as Tekkonkinkreet and the 2011 ThunderCats reboot to animate this scene.
