At the time of posting,the PC Port of Hello Games' procedurally generated universe simulator No Man's Sky has been out for only a few hours but the reviews are overwhelmingly negative. While there had been some quibbling about the game since its intensely hyped announcement trailer at E3 2013, the controversy du jour is the PC port's day one performance issues. With thousands reporting crashes, lackluster framerates, and heavy stuttering. Others are reporting no such problems, but if there's one thing we've learned from the Arkham Knight debacle, if you're releasing a game for people who're so invested in gaming that they've built monster machines to play them, it better run as silky smoove as a baby's behind.
