It's a shame that our first experiences with the subject of History in school can be reduced to either "weird folk tales that aren't true" (cough cough, Story of Thanksgiving) or just a cold list of names and dates. Luckily there's a movement of artists, podcasters, and writers that are reclaiming our inherited stories of the past and are trying to do something MORE to engage with people living in the here and now. Here's a few comics that crossed our paths that we thought were worth sharing.

As always, if you see a piece you really enjoy you can click on the artists' names and see if they sell books, prints, or commissions, or just give them a follow on social media.
