Most of us have complained about Hollywood's obsessions with sequels, but the problem is with us. Everyone knows what it's like when you love a story so much, you're just not ready for it to be over. That's where fan art (and multi-million-dollar Hollywood franchises) comes in. Super-talented artists have imagined what follows the "happily ever after" of their favorites movies, TV shows and books, and turned those imaginings into real, visual images that other people could observe and enjoy. That's how art works, you guys. Don't ever say Dorkly isn't educational.
Artist spicysteweddemon draws Beast and Belle's happy ending how she envisions it - and she envisions the Beast pulling a Shrek and remaining beastly (and Mrs. Potts remaining a pot, too, which she weirdly seems pretty happy about). This means that the Beast passed his curse to his kids and gave his kids some messed-up, curse-y genes. Fortunately, though, the only deformities they got were adorable noses and horns so it all worked out.
Artist beagletsuin imagines Link and Tetra getting married and having children. Although Link's age during Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass has been debated, he definitely was too young to legally get married. But beagletsuin shows them marrying on a pirate boat in the middle of the ocean where normal laws don't apply. And you know pirates, they're always breaking the law. Stealing treasure. Kidnapping people. Getting married super young.
Artist nightliight believes that Anna's second attempt at love is much more successful than her first, and the princess of Arendelle lives happily ever after with Kristoff and raises their kids in a normal, healthy way. Definitely not locking them in a room or giving them to rock trolls.
Adventure Time writers are aging Finn at a steady rate so, as the show continues, Finn grows up, develops crushes, learns important life lessons. Many fans like to picture him further in the future, doing lots of adult things like growing facial hair and fathering children and -- well, mostly fathering children. Children who are cute combinations of human and post-apocalyptic mutants.
Artists grodansnagel created this series of family portraits of beloved Disney couples. Her pictures are impressive because they're way better than most of the animation featured in Disney straight-to-VHS sequels. In her series, she has covered the majority of famous animated movies AND she even notes that The Swan Princess and Anastasia are not Disney films -- the sign of a true expert. J.K. Rowling finished the seventh Harry Potter book with a satisfying epilogue that jumped 19 years into the future and showed her main characters sending their kids off to Hogwarts. Need a quick refresher on the characters? Harry and Ginny's children are Albus Severus, James Sirius and Lily Luna. Ron and Hermione's children are Hugo and Rose. George and Angelina's children are Fred and Roxanne. Draco and Astoria's son is Scorpius. Percy and Audrey's children are Molly and Lucy. Bill and Fleur's children are Victoire, Dominique and Louis. And, finally, Luna Lovegood's children are Lorcan and Lysander. Whew. Okay.
