Are you familiar with the concept of 'Fakemon'? It's a fan art term, talking about artists envisioning their own original Pokemon - usually taking cues from the tropes and trends present in Nintendo's popular monster-capturing series. Sometimes these are evolutions of existing 'mons (such as SO MANY ALTERNATE EEVEELUTIONS), but many artists envision entirely NEW Pokemon, unrelated to any pre-existing ones. These are some of the most original, most creative, and most "WHY ISN'T THERE A CRAB PIRATE POKEMON YET???" we've ever seen:
The thought process behind this Fakemon is pretty ingenious - it takes the (widely-criticized) concept of Vanilluxe (e.g. "The Ice Cream Pokemon") and finds a way to execute it in a way that's pretty stellar: it's an ice cream 'mon for sure, but less explicitly "an ice cream cone with eyes" and more an actual creature. Plus, the gradual adding of Neapolitan flavors is a great addition.
