The Lego Movie's ability to recreate the look and feel of Legos through CGI-that-looks-like-stop-motion is a big reason the movie itself felt so fresh and different - but when you actually see the insane amount of work and detail that went into the film, you'll appreciate it even more.

Fun fact: the 1980-something Space Guy (known for his enjoyment of spaceships) is directly based on co-director Chris Miller's space guy minifig that he still owns to this day.
