The Game Boy Camera was a remarkable device for the time - with an enormous cartridge that plugged into your Game Boy, you could take heavily-pixelated, monochromatic pictures...portably! This was an age before everyone had a camera built into their phones that had megapixels. Game Boy Camera barely had regular pixels.
