The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) is fast approaching - and this year, they're going to have more guests from the worlds of movies, TV, and comics than ever before. Trust us - you're not going to want to miss this show. One guest in particular is someone you should absolutely see, meet, and geek out with - Veronica Taylor. You may not recognize her face, but you probably know her voice VERY well...
For the first 8 seasons of the Pokémon anime series, Veronica Taylor was the most memorable and important part of the show: protagonist Ash Ketchum and his EXTREMELY trusting mother (who, ya know...let her child wander off into the wilderness to battle monsters at the age of 10).
Here she is talking about her experience on Pokemon, and even doing some of the voices herself. Skip to 0:49 and let the nostalgia flow through you...
She also did a few more voices for the show, including May and - wait for it - DIGLETT!
Didn't realize how prolific Veronica is? She has well over 50 separate voice credits throughout her career, many of them spanning years on different shows, movies, and videogame franchises. Including April O'Neil, in the 2003 reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Veronica's appeared in a number of videogames as well - including Valkyrie Profile, L.A. Noire, and - most notably - as Leo Kliesen in Tekken 6 and onwards.
Luckily for anyone attending C2E2 in Chicago - Veronica Taylor will be there every single day (April 25-27, 2014), signing autographs and appearing on panels! If you have any interest in voice acting, Pokemon, or meeting one of the most talented people in entertainment, you'll want to be there.
