Et tu, Rollercoaster Tycoon 4

Since the release of Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 almost a decade ago, we have long awaited the inevitable sequel: Rollercoaster Tycoon IV (or 4, since it probably won't be a JRPG).

Lo and behold, Atari just announced it! But, it's weird - they added an extra word after the "4." A word that portends doom...

"Mobile."

Oh god. OH GOD NO. Not like this, Rollercoaster Tycoon. You weren't supposed to turn into this. You were supposed to be a fun, addicting game that WASN'T tied into mobile and Facebook and terrible microtransactions.

Perhaps this is karma - remember charging guests a couple bucks to use the restroom at your nightmare-death-park? This is their revenge - somehow they've become real and now own Atari, and they're getting sweet vengeance against the players - charging them for every little thing THEY want to do.

Et tu, Rollercoaster Tycoon 4

Cruel, but fair.
