While Suicune started out as another roamer, the PokeGods made the magnanimous decision to plant it in a stationary place for Pokemon Crystal version. That alone earns Suicune some points, but it's a solid Pokemon otherwise, plus its responsible for a pretty impressive cosplay.
The final and (apparently) most popular of the Johto roamers, Entei is a fire-breathin', sorta-lion-lookin' Legendary beast - and the 2nd best one in the 2nd generation (again - according to the voters, anyone angry at me for not ranking Raikou higher). One thing that is becoming super clear through this voting process: Pokemon fans - like the many arsonists throughout the world - really like fire.
Eevee's continuing identity crisis continues with Umbreon, the Dark-type dog/cat/whatever and one of the coolest-looking Eeveelutions. Its evolution is a prime example of the weird conditional evolutions introduced in Gen 2 - as it would only evolve with high friendship and when leveled up at night (or when holding a Moon Shard), which has continued to the point where there's literally a Pokemon that will only evolve if you're holding your 3DS upside-down. Yes, this is actually a thing. REPEAT: THIS IS ACTUALLY A THING.
When Scyther (your favorite bug-type from Generation 1) evolves, it turns into Scizor (your favorite bug-type from Generation 2) - but since that's the end of the evolutionary line, all bets are off for your favorite bugs in future generations. Still, it'll be hard for anything to top Scizor, which has it all: a cool name, a cool look, and solid stats all around. Not bad for a lobster-man-bug hybrid.
