While playing Arkham Asylum at three in the morning, my house was broken into. After yelling at the guy to leave, he ran out the back door. I called the cops. They had already been searching for the guy in the area. About thirty minutes later the cops return and say "We caught him but don't have enough evidence to charge him with burglary. Did he leave anything behind?" I switched to detective mode. After casing the house for a few minutes I find a jacket that smells like smoke(none of my roommates are smokers) and a pair of tiny boots. They now had enough evidence to charge him and I returned to my greater duty, putting Gotham's worst sociopaths back behind bars.-Alex
When I was about 5 years old, I got my first Pokemon game. It was FireRed for my Gameboy Advance. At the time of course, I didn't really understand anything about the game, and right at the beginning I got stuck just because I never read the text with Mom talking to you to check the clock. Months later, I finally figured it out. Always read your texts.-Brady
When I was 5 years old my mother developed a disease that reduced her platelet levels to 0.2% of her normal level. The doctors gave her a 50/50 chance of survival. My dad took me to a toy store and bought me a pack of Pokemon cards after a meeting with my mom's doctor. In that pack I got a holofoil Ursaring card. I loved the card and figured that if I could be brave like Ursaring, my mom would be fine. When my mom went into surgery to have her spleen removed, my sister painted a ring on my stomach just like Ursaring's so I would be strong. My mom's platelet levels are now better than average and Ursaring remains my favorite Pokemon.-David
I work in a call center doing tech support, and always use the phrase "Would you kindly" when on the phone trying to help customers. So far, no one has caught the Bioshock reference.-Rob
And this week's "Dorkly Nearly Caused A Traffic Accident" Award goes to
While driving around at work today I saw an odd decal on the back of a car in front of me and quickly realized it was a lancer from Gears of War. I then realized it was right below the car's model, which was a Lancer. I thought this was a perfect Dorkly pic submission but right as I was about to snap it with my phone a call came through. I tried my best to decline it quickly and get the pic but the light turned and the guy took off. I love Dorkly so much I pursued the guy at high speeds and he must have gotten scared because he began weaving through traffic and taking odd turns to lose me. I stayed on him for a while before I decided it wasn't worth it. Thanks for making me look like a stalker, Dorkly.-Garrett
