There is this girl I like, but she has a boyfriend and thinks of me only as a friend. Then one evening we were alone and eventually made out. The first thing I said after was "achievement unlocked." She decided to stay with her boyfriend.
In college, I convinced the campus doctor that I had a ADHD and got an Adderall prescription. I didn't have ADHD. I did it so I could stay up all night playing Socom and remain attentive and alert. That's right. I needed performance enhancing drugs to maintain my 3:1 kill-death ratio.
Last night, I dreamed I was in Skyrim. The dream included long loading screens.
I was asked to play piano for a funeral. They wanted me to play for about a hour and a half. After 45 minutes, I was running out of songs. I took a risky move and played the Dire Dire Docks theme from Super Mario 64. Nobody noticed. In fact, everybody loved the song.
I took a 48-hour train home from Winnipeg to Vancouver. I decided to play Pokemon White to kill some time. To my surprise, C-Gear told me someone else was playing nearby. I started to search the train for him. Eventually, we met up and spent the rest of the trip talking about and trading Pokemon in the cafe car. We missed all the beauty and majesty of the Rocky Mountains in the process. Both of us were mid-twenty year old adults.
My wife and I recently had our apartment burglarized. They stole my PS3, Wii, Xbox, PC and all my games. It was very upsetting. Without renters insurance, we had to buy everything back with our own money. I took it in stride, until I realized my Minecraft save was on the computer. Literally, days of work were gone. I lost my entire village and a pack of wolves I'd grown to love. That was what truly upset me.
This Halloween I dressed as Chell. When people tried to talk to me, I only jumped. I think I thought it was funnier than it really was.
My brother got Skyrim for Christmas. I stayed home for Winter break to play it, instead of going back to college right away. It was the only thing that I stayed home for. I did all of my adventuring with a character named J'zargo. The day before I went back, I realized how much I was going to miss everyone in the game. I went around saying goodbye to every one I had met in Skyrim. I told them I would be back at some point to finish what I had started. I then looked at J'man the Troll Puncher (as I called J'zargo) and spent 20 minutes saying goodbye. Then I turned off the game, knowing I wouldn't play for 4 months. I have never been so sad in my life. I felt like I left my best friend.
